Local residents in Paignton have been working for five years to transform Victoria Park to its former glory. Plans, which will form the basis of a Heritage Lottery bid will see the planting of 15,000 shrubs, 4,000 spring bulbs, the construction of a wetland area with two ponds, a boardwalk and nature viewing platforms.
Friends of Victoria Park have worked tirelessly to bring about these changes. But now they need your help and enthusiasm to turn their dream into a reality. To get you interested we have reproduced a slideshow covering the history of the park and current plans. Click here to download the presentation
You can find out more about the project via Paignton Town Community Partnership. Their next public meeting is 2nd December, Baptist Church Hall, Winner Street, 6 – 8pm Contact Torbay Community Development Trust for more details.
